Lymphoma Australia was founded in 2003 by a group of
volunteers and became incorporated in 2004. The mission is simple and Lymphoma
Australia is the only charity in Australia solely dedicated to raising
awareness, support and research for lymphoma.
Over the last decade, volunteers have devoted thousands of hours
to making a difference for the past, current and future Australians who will be
touched by this cancer. Whilst we can never thank all of our supporters enough we would like to
acknowledge three amazing and inspirational Australians who have tirelessly
supported this cause over many years and were awarded with Life memberships
Ray Culpan – Awarded Life Membership for Lymphoma Australia in 2013
After his wife Ros was diagnosed with lymphoma Ray became a
very active and dedicated member of the Lymphoma Australia Board. Ray was
Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer during our formative years and due to Ray’s
support and leadership we had the opportunity to raise national awareness and
support for this cancer
Ted Winton – Awarded Life Membership for Lymphoma Australia in 2014
Ted joined the Lymphoma Australia Board in 2005 after losing
his wife Shirley to lymphoma. Shirley Winton OAM was also the founding
President of Lymphoma Australia and Ted has ensured her vision to advocate for
all Australians diagnosed with lymphoma received information and the best
possible care.
Gordon Shaw – Awarded Life Membership for Lymphoma
Australia in 2015
Gordon joined the Lymphoma Australia Board in 2006 after
losing his wife Kayleen to Lymphoma. Gordon’s previous business experience has
ensured Lymphoma Australia delivered exceptional and dedicated services and
projects for the national Lymphoma community. Thank you so much for all your hard work,
vision and commitment to our very important cause
