Leg Out for Lymphoma Walk Sydney

Sydney turned out in their all their green glory to help raise funds and awareness for us on Sunday.  Unlike Brisbane the weather was kind to us!

With over 200 walkers meeting by the water to set off over the Harbour bridge to meet the Parliament 2 Opera riders.  The atmosphere was fantastic with green tutu’s, wigs and a sea of green alerting Sydney of our arrival!

On arriving at the Opera House the walkers formed a guard of honour for the cyclist to arrive through which was quite an emotional scene as both groups connected and cheered one another along.  We were also lucky enough to have Stathfield Rotary present a cheque for $25,000 from the Gift of Life Gala ball a few weeks ago, presented by their Chairman Allan Peterson, thank you again to Strathfield Rotary for your generous support and donation.

We have raised over $10,000 from the Sydney walk, thank you to all those that supported, we look forward to seeing you next year!

You need healthy T-cells to make CAR T-cells. For this reason, CAR T-cell therapy cannot be used if you have a T-cell lymphoma – yet.

For more information on CAR T-cells and T-cell lymphoma click here.

Special Note: Although your T-cells are removed from your blood for CAR T-cell therapy, most of our T-cells live outside of our blood – in our lymph nodes, thymus, spleen and other organs.
