March, 2022:
“Yesterday I finally got my initial diagnosis and treatment plan.
As it turns out I have Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and I commence my treatment next Monday.
Oddly enough though finding out what I have, what the treatment entails and its commencement date has actually relieved the stress not added to it.”
Darryl underwent six rounds of escalated BEACOPP, and had a rough time. He was hospitalised with severe Bleomycin Toxicity, and Sepstic Arthritis and then also endured COVID-19.
June 2022:
137 days later and Darryl’s PET scan was clear – no evidence of disease.
He credits his amazing wife and family for their support, and the clinical teams and nurses, and our peer support group for getting him through.
